Mountain Biking from Knysna to Gordon's Bay

Day 1: Knysna to Mossel Bay (123 kms)
After a good breakfast set off towards Wilderness where we take a break, or even have a dip in the ocean! Then continue through indigenous forest via Saasveld towards George and onto the R102 to Mossel Bay, enjoying the rolling hills and sea view.

Overnight: Mossel Bay

StillbaaiDay 2: Mossel Bay to Stillbaai (73 kms)
Breakfast and then tackle the steep hill out of Mossel Bay for 2.5 kms. Take a left turn to Gouritzmouth , tar and then on a gravel, undulating road to Stillbaai.

Overnight: Stillbaai

Day 3: Stillbaai to Witsand ( 80 kms )
Good breakfast and then tar for 10.5 kms, then gravel with lots and lots of ups and downs!!

Lunch stop at Vermaaklikheid and head towards Witsand, and the Breede River Lodge where we spend the night.

Overnight: Breede River

Day 4: Witsand to Malgas (35 kms)
Dirt track all the way today. Shake rattle and roll on corrugated roads with loose, slippery gravel. A tough 35 kms!! Cross the Breede River on a manually operated pont!!

Overnight: Malgas

FriendsDay 5: Malgas to Arniston (107kms)
Packed breakfast today and set off up steep hill out of Malgas. Then continue over relentless, rollicking hills to Ouplaas, where we stop at a tea garden!! On towards Bredasdorp and then Arniston.

Overnight: Arniston

Day 6: Arniston to Hermanus ( 109kms)
Start the day with breakfast at the lighthouse in Agulhas, where the two oceans meet. Take the R319 then follow signs towards the quaint thatched mission town of Elim, where refreshments can be enjoyed at the local caf�. Then continue at a leisurely pace towards Stanford and Hermanus.

Overnight: Hermanus

Day7: Hermanus to Gordon's Bay (82kms)
Today we cycle along one of the most scenic routes in the world with misty cliffs and pounding shores on your left, untrammeled Kogelberg Biosphere fynbos and raw mountains on the right. We cycle on the R43 and then the R44via Betty's Bay and Rooi Els to Gordon's Bay.

And then a sad farewell!
