4 DAY MASHATU TRIP
– JUNE, 2012
DAY 1:
Depart Johannesburg at 8am & head for the Botswana border.
Meet your guides at Pont Drift Border Post at about 12:30. We will assist with the border crossing, have a quick bite, pack our luggage into the land cruiser and head off for our 1st camp. Our camps are mobile and temporary
Our wilderness camps are set up prior to our arrival and offer comfort without distracting from the wilderness experience. Meals are prepared on the open fire, hot water bucket showers, camp cots and cold beers all add up to make for an exhilarating night out.
DAY 2:
We awake at dawn to freshly brewed coffee and a light breakfast, then saddle up to explore unchartered landscapes. Discover new skills as rocky outcrops, sandy river beds and vast plains test biking abilities. We’ll break for coffee en route and return to
camp in time for lunch.
The riding is very relaxed with many stops on route. We often encounter wildlife including elephants, giraffe, zebra, impala among others. Two armed guides ensure the safety and enjoyment of the party.
DAY 3:
Today we ride to the sandstone ridges of the Limpopo valley, through stellar landscapes into the garden of Eden. We’ll arrive at our Kgotla camp to enjoy an afternoon of relaxation and a final epic sunset.
DAY4:
Breakfast on today brings an end to the safari with a departure by vehicle to Pont Drift by 11:00. Then the time has come to say farewell!!
