Day1: Cycled to Deneysville for breakfast. On to Siesta Guest Farm.
Day2: From here through Oliviershoek Pass.
Day3: Cruised to Bergville, to Escort, on to Howick.
Day4: Back to Jo'burg! FINISH!!!
3 DAY CYCLE TO PIETERMARITZBURG VIA FRANKFORT AND KESTELL
Day 1
Left Joburg at 06:30, cycled to Deneysville for breakfast....95 kms. Another 97 kms to our overnight stop. Beautiful morning, then a delightful tailwind to help us along the way!!
Goodie bags, much hilarity about the "posterior lube".
Siesta Guest Farm, guard dogs were lions......roaring all night.
Day 2.
Early breaky, left at 06.45. Again, very lucky to have a breeze from behind, but also a cross wind at times which made it more difficult to cycle.
Long day, 220kms in total. The team was pretty tired when we got to our overnight stop.The downhill from the top of Oliviershoek Pass was fantastic!!!

Day 3.
Late start...07:15.
Cruised to Bergville, then got stuck into cake and coffee in Winterton. Then on towards Escort, very hot and many hills!!!!
Out of Escort even more hills. Had a down pour which cooled everything down, very welcome.
In Nottingham Rd, some racked bikes, others cycled to Howick.
Distance: 142 kms. For those that went to Howick another 36 kms.
